Charing during the First World War – a few of our stories

Charles (standing) was a driver in the Army Service Corps; he later went into the church and became sub-dean of St Alban’s cathedral.
Bill (W J), was a lance-corporal in the 1st Battalion Rifle Brigade; he died in France in 1918.
